Good news: there is a new super cute mall in Hawkins, Indiana.
Bad news: Hawkins is still the location of an interdimensional portal with many evil things.
Netflix has presented the new trailer and several images for Stranger Things 3, and at first, it seems like a typical summer for the teenagers of the series.
Established in “Teenage Wasteland” by Who, the trailer finds the main group of friends: Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Once (Millie Bobby Brown), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Max (Sadie Sink) – just hang out and have a fun summer. But nothing is, of course, so simple in Hawkins, and soon chaos breaks out all over the city along with the appearance of some very large and very slimy creatures.
Other points of interest:
Hopper (David Harbor) and Eleven have discovered shirts with prints.
Joyce (Winona Ryder) is still sad, but she has a nice new cut.
The unexpected bromance between Dustin and Steve (Joe Keery) continues!
Older children have jobs: Steve works at Starcourt, Billy (Dacre Montgomery) is a lifesaver, and it seems that Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) work in the local newspaper.
There are flashes of new characters played by Maya Hawke, Jake Busey and Cary Elwes as the mayor of Hawkins.
Much of the action seems to revolve around Starcourt and a county fair (always bad news in genre films).
